瑠璃, pronounced ‘Luli’,
et 玻璃, pronounced ‘hali’.
Koto Tsuchiya chose to retain the third and anglicized it to be more easily memorized.
Koto was formed in the glass work at the University of Creative Arts in Surrey, UK.
